Rather surprisingly the fans did not budge at all during these stress tests, and the casing stayed cool to touch. We found the buffer size sweet spot was 128 samples, with the higher settings (5) the least efficient. In the Alchemy test Logic Pro consistently played 85 tracks. With the reverbs bypassed the CPU meter was under 20%. The Mac Studio consistently managed an impressive 418 tracks with the ChromaVerb. In the audio preferences we switched processing threads from automatic (8 cores) to 10 cores and throughout the tests tried various audio buffer sizes. One using Logic Pro’s ChromaVerb inserted on multiple audio tracks, and a second using the CPU-intensive Alchemy synth playing a 5 note chord. Nevertheless, for our tests we used Apple’s own Logic Pro, with stock plugins and the onboard audio.ĭAW performance tends to be hindered most by CPU-intensive plugins such as reverbs and software synthesisers. "Do you mean cutting the screw to length with a nut on it, which then fixes the thread as you unfasten it?" I think the thing to do here is to buy like M2圆0 through M10圆0 (A4 stainless, insex screws) and then use that nut-retapping trick to get that custom screw length that you need. The next most useful thing: A great assortment of fasteners! The rest can often be improvised in many ways using various microcontroller boards and voltage level converters etc that you'll probabably already have. Im my experience: If there's one thing that makes sense to stock at your own little lab - to avoid waiting 1-3 days for getting that little thing that blocks that project you want to complete - it's a wide assortment of connectors. They firmly entered my mental toolbox as a go to for a flexible circular connector when I don’t need to join existing physical interfaces like Ethernet or higher speed USB where the signal reliability is potentially worth just using a sealed socket with matching circular screw on connector, but for the sort of thing where I’d have made up a DB9 or DB25, I’m definitely going to be reaching for these again in future (I did get a few of them and used the solder cup versions to avoid needing the crimping tools and the associated extra costs) I wasn’t prepared to spend $50 Australian on a single pair of connectors for this project, especially since due to wiring limitations I’d have probably had to get two pairs. The standard absolutely has options for higher current but it comes with a smaller pool of available suppliers making those parts and thus they cost more. Yeah I probably could have explained a bit more, I did find connections that could do it but it was never quite right in terms of a size pin count or cost trade off for this specific project. One tool standard, lots of different high quality connectors! It sounds like a lot, but it's much less than the $800 American made tool and even less than the single purpose crimp hand tools for cheaper Molex and JST connectors. A Chinese company called JReady sells new crimp tools with the positioners for $300. You'll probably want the M22520/1-04 turret head. You'll also need a positioner to hold the crimp in the right position within the tool (these are interchangeable for a ton of different models). If you want to use the crimped versions, you'll want the M22520/1 basic tool or M22520/2 miniature tool for smaller wire gauges. There's also solder-cup versions of a lot of the connectors so that no crimp tools are required. The prices are high for new tools, but there's tons of surplus floating around thanks to government standards. Rugged, really high pin density, and impossible to insert wrong. There's a lot of surplus tooling on Ebay, and they're by far the best connectors I've ever used. I've been on a MIL-DTL-38999 journey over the last few weeks. Complex designs were planned out beforehand, probably on wax tablets, the sketch pad of the era. Stocky, richly textured blackletter was first seen around the 13th century and was particularly popular in the later Middle Ages.ġ1 Images A 13th century manuscript illumination, the earliest known depiction of Thomas à Becket's assassination When the text was complete, the illustrator set to work. The sturdy Roman letters of the early Middle Ages gradually gave way to cursive scripts such as Uncial and half-Uncial, especially in the British Isles, where distinctive scripts such as insular majuscule and insular minuscule developed. The script depended on local customs and tastes. After the general layout of the page was planned (e.g., initial capital, borders), the page was lightly ruled with a pointed stick, and the scribe went to work with ink-pot and either sharpened quill feather or reed pen. Sheets of parchment or vellum, animal hides specially prepared for writing, were cut down to the appropriate size. Many of the workers were women.ĩ Text In the making of an illuminated manuscript, the text was usually written first. However commercial scriptoria grew up in large cities, espcially Paris, and in Italy and the Netherlands, and by the late fourteenth century there was a significant industry producing manuscripts, including agents who would take long-distance commissions, with details of the heraldry of the buyer and the saints of personal interest to him (for the calendar of a Book of hours). In the early Middle Ages, most books were produced in monasteries, whether for their own use, for presentation, or for a commission. Wealthy people often had richly illuminated "books of hours" made, which set down prayers appropriate for various times in the liturgical day. It was usually reserved for special books: an altar Bible, for example. The very existence of illuminated manuscripts as a way of giving stature and commemoration to ancient documents may have been largely responsible for their preservation in an era when barbarian hordes had overrun continental Europe.ħ Techniques Illumination was a complex and frequently costly process. Had it not been for the (mostly monastic) scribes of late antiquity, the entire content of western heritage literature from Greece and Rome could have perished. The meaning of these works lies not only in their inherent art history value, but in the maintenance of a link of literacy. The earliest surviving substantive illuminated manuscripts are from the period AD 400 to 600, primarily produced in Ireland, Italy and other locations on the European continent. However, in both common usage and modern scholarship, the term is now used to refer to any decorated manuscript. In the strictest definition of the term, an illuminated manuscript only refers to manuscripts decorated with gold or silver. Written in illuminated Latin, with informal marginalia in Greek, the Codex bore the signature of Udo himself.Presentation on theme: "Illuminated Manuscripts"- Presentation transcript:ģ An illuminated manuscript is a manuscript in which the text is supplemented by the addition of decoration or illustration, such as decorated initials, borders and miniatures. Usually it refers to some small, original version of a much larger thing (Wisconsin's welfare program was said to be the homunculus version of the federal Welfare Reform Act of 1996 Iceland's ancient parliament, the Althing, is the homunculus version of Congress), but it can also mean someone who resembles the homunculi depicted in illuminated treatises. Trying to reach that last bit of cannabis oil, but it's stuck at the top? The first trick to try is to flip your cartridge upside down for a few hours in a warmer environment (but without additional heat applied) to allow the oil to flow back down to the other end of the cartridge. Cannabis Oil Stuck at the Top of Cartridge If your mouthpiece is not removable you can try using a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol to clean out the center barrel. It will allow for the cannabis oil to fall out, and you can clean it with a toothpick and napkin afterwards. Clean the 510-Thread Mouthpiece in Hot WaterĪnother option if you do not want to try blowing the cannabis oil out of the mouthpiece, is to simply boil some hot water and drop only the mouthpiece detached from the THC cartridge into hot boiling water. This should help dislodge the THC oil that can build up from repeated usage. One method is to remove the mouthpiece and blow into it with a napkin on the other side to catch the cannabis oil stuck inside it. There is likely a chance that some cannabis oil has gotten stuck in the mouthpiece of the cartridge. If you find yourself in a situation where you inhale on your THC cartridge and have trouble getting airflow or get a ‘clogged’ feeling there are a few ways to remedy the situation. Difficulty Inhaling Cannabis Oil from THC Cartridge Once it is adjusted carefully, reconnect the battery and start vaping. You only need to lift the connection plate very gently, pulling too hard can expose the interior wiring of the battery, rendering it broken. The connect plate can be found on the bottom of the cartridge or the interior of the battery where the cartridge threads. Your connection plate may still be having trouble making contact, to fix this, take a paperclip and gently lift up the connection plate on both your THC cartridge and battery. However, if these tips don’t solve the problem, that doesn’t mean your battery is necessarily defective. If you notice debris or oil on the exterior surface of your THC cartridge or vape battery, you can try to clean the connection port with alcohol and a q-tip and wait for it to dry before attempting to recharge again. You want to be careful to not overtighten or under-tighten your cartridge to your vape pen. Thankfully, the fix is usually as simple as unscrewing your battery and reconnecting it. A loose battery can disrupt the flow of electricity, preventing your vape from fully charging. When your battery is blinking white, that generally indicates that your battery is not fully connected. Blinking White? Check the Vape Pen Connection Using the improper voltage to charge can cause damage to your vape battery! The most typical type of charger for vape pens are USB ports, making it convenient to charge anywhere there is a port available. If you can try to use the charging ports that your vape pen came with to prevent any unexpected charging snafus. It's important to charge with the proper voltage designed for your vape battery. If you’re drawing on your vape, and you see a blinking red light, that means it’s time for you to recharge your battery. Since the 510-cartridge can also often be the problem, we’ll walk through some troubleshooting tips for them too. Before you go out and purchase a new vape pen, this guide will walk you through some of the most common vape pen troubleshooting tips for getting your 510-vape pen battery working again. There’s nothing worse than preparing to enjoy a smoke sesh and sitting down only to be met with no vape when you go to take a draw on your vape pen. When your vape pen stops working unexpectedly though it can be a genuinely frustrating experience. Wrecked my savegame // Cheat Engine by Brixx Sun 10:58 am Hello there Is there a way to use Cheat Engine to get invulnerability I just played my way through to Level 4 with Master Quest and put all the scrolls into the right place - so I got swarmed by those bugs. somehow.Įdit: Oh, now I see those big nested chunks (STATS etc). Guess I'll try to find the creature speed somehow (my main problem with the easy difficulty is that mobs just stand around looking stupid for so long), maybe I can change that with brute force. Also that makes it entirely possible that changing the difficulty mid game won't be a viable option (have not managed to isolate difficulty related creature stats yet, but the presence of those alone means that the difficulty setting could already be in there instead of just in one valua :/ ). it explains the need to start a new game to get the fixed stats for items after the patch. Those artifacts are: Ogre Figurine (4.1), Skeleton Figurine (9.5), Snail Figurine (11.2), Crowern Figurine (5.2). The whole location is basically about scrutinizing every corner in order to find four figurines which will give you an access to a Power Gem. Maybe that's supposed to ensure that savegames still work after updates. Lexiconary is the lowest level of the Ruins of Desaure. On top of that, the game seems to be very rather wasteful though when it comes to writing stuff into the saves - there seems to be a lots of creature / map / script data in there (that I would have expected to be loaded from the game data files, not from the game saves). Could just be a memory-dump-like stream after all for all I know T_T then something that looks rather arbitrary.) and I can't find a delimiter or anything for those that would suggest that they are part of a overlying order instead of just mashed together one. then the bigger part with the chunks of "FF xx xx xx". there are big chunks that look very different from each others (like the small String on the top. at least if it was one consistent format. That does NOT sound like something that I can easily parse any further with my crude bash one-linersĪnd it explains why my experiments with cmp & diff lead nowhere - even freshly started vanilla savegames are too different in their structure to recognize the difficulty settings (without more pre-processing beyond the deflation). When Camera is activated before peerconnection negotiation all is OK and sending PLI are correctly decoded and a Key frame is send. So RTCP feedback stream seems to be broken in this case. When camera is not activated before screen sharing RTCP PLI feedback send by receiving part cause a Chrome error "unprotect RTCP packet" in the sender user. When using video we can lower the simulcast layer so you get a lower resolution video stream in case there is packet loss, but screen sharing doesn’t (yet) use simulcast, so there is no layer we can drop. That being said, I have created a new video room and it does indeed have screen-sharing, which works! I've encountered a few bugs already, but this is a great step forward. Thank you for saying so, but please realize that this is not very well-documented, and that has been the purpose of comments in these issue tickets. The particular implementation is not clarified in the GUI, and there was nothing before your comment just now that I could find on this topic in the client or on the rest of the internet that said a new video room has to be made. However, if that's not how it's implemented, now I know. I understand that there's no technical reason a video room could not negotiate and use whichever video call protocol is supported by the connected clients. Thanks for posting that, as it gave me hope that I could get screen-sharing in Element Desktop. Instead, he emphasized the non-symbolic character of the work, and what he called "painting experience." He was supported in this by critics such as Clement Greenberg, who focused on the importance of abstract form in art, and sidelined discussions of sources or content. When asked to explain the meaning of his work, he refused, saying that he wanted the viewers to feel the effects of the composition unhindered by suggestion. However, the artist denied it, claiming that his inspirations came from unconscious sources. The suggestion first surfaced in reviews of his breakthrough show of 1950. "A four by five inch black drawing of a rocking chair," Kline recalled, ".loomed in gigantic black strokes which eradicated any image, the strokes expanding as entities in themselves, unrelated to any entity but that of their own existence." The pictures, which resulted from this revelation, were first exhibited at the Charles Egan Gallery in New York in 1950, a show that established Kline's reputation.Ĭritics have long debated whether Kline's black and white paintings were inspired by Japanese calligraphy. In part he was inspired by de Kooning's black and white paintings of 1946-49, and - although the story is apocryphal - it is said that de Kooning also inspired him to scale up the work, after he encouraged him to examine it using an enlarger. He had already began to explore an austere black and white palette in a series of ink on paper sketches, but now he brought the technique to canvases and employed house-painting brushes to create broad strokes of black criss-crossing white canvases. Around 1947, under the influence of de Kooning, he also began to abandon figuration and experiment on a large scale with a gestural, abstract technique. At this point, his work was shaped by his love of Old Masters such as Rembrandt, but in 1943 he met Willem de Kooning and began to frequent the Cedar Bar, where he met Jackson Pollock and Philip Guston. He was forced to take odd jobs: he painted murals in bars and sold illustrations to magazines. The first few years back in New York proved difficult for Kline. Kline's reluctance to attribute hidden meanings to his pictures was important in recommending his work to a later generation of Minimalist sculptors such as Donald Judd and Richard Serra.Along with De Kooning and Pollock, Kline was one of the examplary artists heralded in Harold Rosenberg's definition of Action Painting. The powerful forms of his motifs, and their impression of velocity, were intended to translate into an experience of structure and presence which the viewer could almost palpably feel.Yet Kline saw his method less as a means to express himself than as a way to create a physical engagement with the viewer. The poet and curator Frank O'Hara saw Kline as the quintessential 'action painter', and Kline's black and white paintings certainly helped establish gestural abstraction as an important tendency within Abstract Expressionism.Franz Kline is most famous for his black and white abstractions, which have been likened variously to New York's cityscape, the landscape of his childhood home in rural Pennsylvania, and Japanese calligraphy. It doesn’t bother me whether it does or not. The whites, of course, turned yellow, and many people call your attention to that, you know they want white to stay white for ever. As a matter of fact, I just used any black that I could get ahold of.ĭAVID SYLVESTER: And the whites the same say?įRANZ KLINE: The whites the same way. I didn’t have particularly a strong desire to use colour, say, in the lights or darks of a black-and-white painting, althought what happened is that accidentally they look that way. I mean there was that marvellous twenty-minute experience of thinking, well, all my life has been wasted but this is marvellous – that sort of thing.ĭAVID SYLVESTER: During the time that you were producing only black-and-white paintings, where you ever colour and then painting over it with black?įRANZ KLINE: No, they started off that way. And then, when they got that way, I just liked them, you know. I think there was a time when the original forms that finally came out in black and white were in colour and then as time went on I painted them out and make them black and white. It was edited for broadcasting by the BBC and first published in “Living Arts” in the spring of 1963:įRANZ KLINE: It wasn’t a question of deciding to do black-and-white painting.
